North High School
30 th annual 2006 Young Artists Showcase Art Competition at the St. Louis Artists Guild.
Thirty-nine students had thirty-one works selected to be in the show.

Fourteen Parkway North Students had work entered in the from February 23 through March 2, 2006 Of those fourteen, ten were selected for the show: Jennette Ling, Alexis Cleveland, Tim Eshing, Hilary Biggar, Ben Wells, Cary Gray, Sarah Kiser, Jared Winston, Leslie Song, and Lottie Barker.

Leslie Song who received a top prize of $100 for her pastel Foundations of Wisdom
2005 Congressional Show for District 2 represented by Todd Akin.
Kathleen Mack won the first place award for her photograph titled “Slice”
Kathleen will receive three tickets from Southwest Airlines to fly to Washington D.C. for the opening of the show in June. Kathleen’s piece will hang in Washington D.C., along with work from the other congressional districts around the country, over the next year.
Zac Hartley and Katie Lawson also received honorable mention for their photographs “In this sleep of death what dreams may come” and “Smith-Corona”.

Allison Schuman, Dana Barry, and Brent Barrett have shown their work at the Chesterfield Library this spring.
Margaret Hardy has won the Missouri Fine Art Academy for this summer. She has also won the prestigious Marie Walsh Scharpe Summer Scholarship for a three week intensive seminar this summer.

7th grader, Kay Min won 1st place and a $500.00 savings bond in Artmart's art contest. Her artwork will be framed and is currently hanging up in Artmart.

55 students from Parkway Central, South, West and North participated in the Missouri State Thespian Conference, Jan. 5, 6, 7 2006 in Joplin, MO. (held at Missouri Southern State University).
Scholarships auditions: Out of 8 scholaships awarded, Parkway won 2!!!!
Parkway South High School - production of THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF AMERICA, a One Act, chosen to present at the 2006 ITS State Conference
2 students selected to work on the All State Show, and 1 student admitted int MoFAA
Central High School - Margaret Christie from won a $1,000.00 scholarship in THEATRE EDUCATION
West High School - Alice Stanley from won a $1,000.00 scholarship in PERFORMANCE.

Dance
30 Dance II-IV students from West & Central High represented Parkway's Fine Arts at the State Capitol in February where they performed for legislators and arts advocates from throughout Missouri.
Following the May All District Dance Concert, Three North High Dance students received scholarships to COCA Dance for their prestigious summer institute: Celeste Stewart, Octavia Hall and Tyler Boyer.
North High Dance Student, Kim Ross, was selected to perform with the COCA Dance pre-professional company
West High Dance IV student and 06 graduate, Mari Watson not only performs with the COCA Dance pre-professional company, she also dances professionally with the African Dance Company, Afriky LoLo and with the Slaughter Project, directed by Washington University faculty member, Cecil Slaughter
Parkway Dance Students perform with Ballet, Modern and Jazz Dance Companies throughout the St. Louis area at venues such as Washington University's Edison Theatre.
North High Dancer, Octavia Hall, participated in the June 2005 Missouri Fine Arts Academy.
