• Meet Mrs. Horner

To give you a bit of background about my career, I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle School Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am certified to teach Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies, Elementary Education 1-6, and Special Education K-12. Recently, I earned my Masters of Education in Administration and Leadership, also from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I taught 8th grade Language Arts at Crestview Middle School for my first four years of teaching and have taught Special Education for ten years. My last six years of teaching have been at Green Trails, where I am proud to be a Gator!

Outside of school, I spend a lot of time watching sports and being outside with my three dogs (Ross, Catch, and Annie) and three children: Tyler, who is in 8th grade; Madison, who is in 6th grade, and Mack, who will start kindergarten this year! Together, we hike through the woods, fish, swim, and enjoy nature! I love being a part of your children’s lives and helping them in every way that I can. I do my best to treat each child that I come in contact with as if he or she were my own. I work hard to maintain close communication with parents, but please do not hesitate to contact me at any time. I understand how it feels to be a parent and am happy to share with you the knowledge I have as a teacher.
