Miss Kimi Schuessler

Hello PreK families! 

My name is Kimi Schuessler, and I am a preschool teacher at the Early Childhod Center.  This is my 9th year as a teacher and my 3nd year teaching preschool! Before this, I taught first grade for six years, five of those years were in Parkway. I graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood and Elementary Education as well as a Master’s of Education in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum. So far, I have LOVED teaching preschool! Getting to help young students learn as they play and play as they learn is a passion of mine. My favorite moments in the classroom are when you see students do something they’ve never been able to do before, whether it be count to 10, name a new letter, play an imagination game with a classmate or make a new friend! These little ones have so much energy and joy each and every day. It is an honor to be a part of their lives as their teacher! At home, I live with my husband, Tim, and my dog, Darcy. We like to take walks and watch movies together. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
