• Updated May 15, 2020

This contains important information for employees regarding the extended closure of schools and buildings through June 30. Our top priority is the health and safety of all Parkway staff, and we appreciate you taking the time to read these updates.

    Workforce Information for Hourly Employees
At the end of each week, your supervisor will complete your timesheet with ‘District Closed’, unless you have been designated to physically come to work daily or on an intermittent basis. On those days you physically come into work, you should clock your hours.

    Sick Time

    • Employees who have COVID-19 symptoms or are exposed to someone with symptoms will not be required to use regularly accrued sick time or paid time off. Hourly staff should contact Lisa Powers at lpowers@parkwayschools.net or leave a message at 314-415-8022 and she will enter this absence for you.  Instructional staff should contact Suzanne Osredker at sosredker@parkwayschools.net or leave a message at 314-415-8023 and she will log your absence for you.
    • Staff should not work if they are ill.

    Vacation Time (if applicable)

    • Employees who have scheduled vacation time should still log those requests as vacation days in WorkForce. A vacation day is a day when you will not be answering emails, responding to phone calls, and/or working from home or working in the office.
    • You must contact your supervisor before canceling paid leave time that has already been approved. Employees who are canceling paid leave must be available to work if requested.
    • Any unused vacation time earned from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 will rollover over into an "over 6-month bank” to be used by December 31, 2020.

    Comp Time - NEW GUIDELINES

    • Comp time bank limits have been increased from 48 hours to 120 hours.
    • There is no requirement for employees who have accrued comp time to use the time before the end of their work year calendar.
    • Comp time will only be paid for hours that exceed 120.
    • Comp time will also be paid out when employees separate from the school district.

    Personal Time

    • Any unused personal time has to be used in the 2019-20 school year as it will not roll over into next year and it will not be paid out. On July 1, 2020, a fresh bank of personal time will be added for the 2020-21 school year.
    • Employees who have scheduled personal time should still log those requests as personal days in WorkForce. A personal day is a day when you will not be answering emails, responding to phone calls, and/or working from home or working in the office.
    • You must contact your supervisor before canceling paid leave time that has already been approved. Employees who are canceling paid leave must be available to work if requested.

    Technology Access
If you need access to technology in order to work at home, please notify your supervisor.
