I have served as a school nurse in the Parkway School District since 2005. I have spent my time as a school nurse in Early Childhood serving the families in the Preschool, the Parents as Teachers Program, the Kids Morning Out Program, and the Partners in Play program.

I am passionate about prevention and I serve on the employee wellness and student wellness committee for Parkway.  In addition to providing the day to day care for students, I work with all the Early Childhood programs to provide hearing and vision screenings to all the preschools throughout the district as well as the families in the Parents as Teachers program and to provide the necessary resources when referred.  I organize the student flu shot clinic, a dental health demonstration for students, and a student dental clinic. I provide information about health and wellness for the Early Childhood newsletter and I am a health consultant for all the programs. I train and certify all of the teachers and teacher assistants in CPR, First-Aid, and AED.
