    Hello Seniors,

    Welcome back!

I will try my best to answer your during our time together during the week of September 4th in your ELA classes but until then, I wanted to alert you to some important items:

    • We have 3 amazing programs scheduled for you this fall. Mark your calendars for:

      • College Night on Sept. 6 from 6:30-8 pm

      • Parkway College Fair (Queeny Park) on Sept. 17 6-8 pm

      • FAFSA Night on Oct. 11 from 6-7 pm

    • Remember to check your Parkway email regularly!

    • Please check your Naviance account for upcoming College Visits. We have many colleges signed up already! Tip: Add colleges to “Colleges I’m Thinking About” in your Naviance portal and you will get a reminder email from me about any of your selected schools 2 days before they are scheduled to visit us.

    • Due to most colleges wanting test scores directly from the testing agency, we will not be sending test scores this year. Please access your ACT or College Board account to have those scores sent in enough time for your deadlines.

    • Please be aware that due to reductions in staffing our office asks for up to 5 days to process transcripts requests. Letters of recommendation can take up to 15 business days during heavy volume.

    • Please let me know if you have questions! I want to help empower you through this process.

    South Tech Open House:
Thursday, November 2nd from 5-7 pm.

Attending a college fair is the best way to gather information, first hand, about colleges and universities. Free and open to the public, the fair will give students the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admission representatives from colleges, universities, conservatories, studios, festivals, and other educational institutions with specialized programs in the arts.

Students will learn more at the fair about:

    • Admission requirements
    • Financial aid
    • Portfolio days
    • Audition and entrance requirements
    • As well as other information pertinent to the college selection process

A workshop on How to Research Fine Arts Colleges will be offered from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Make sure you arrive early!

How Can You Promote Our Programs?

We encourage you to promote these valuable programs to students, parents, college counselors, and other interested parties within your school.  We've got plenty of resources online. Check them out!

Students and parents can register online. Registration is free.
