Mrs. Mandi Gianino

Hello all!  I am the new Health & PE teacher here at Oak Brook!  While I am new to this role, this is my 12th year as a part of the Oak Brook community.  I began my journey by student teaching in second grade with Mrs. Cooley. I then taught 2 years of second grade followed by 8 years of third grade.  I LOVE kids and never want to leave the teaching profession, but it has been super fun transitioning to this new role and seeing the students in a completely new light!

I have always been a very active person, and I am loving teaching kids my passion for movement and exercise.  I also love getting back to my classroom roots when I teach our health lessons.

A little bit about me personally, I am married and have 2 kids, Clara (age 3) and Luke (age 1).  My life outside of school certainly keeps me on my toes as much as my career does. :)

I truly value the importance of not only classroom learning, but also the lifelong skills and lessons that health and PE instill in our young learners.

Thank you for allowing me to teach your child/children!

Mr. Ron Ramspott

The 2019-20 school year marks my 30th year in public school education. I taught my first year in Carrollton, Missouri teaching elementary physical education, followed by 13 years in the Rockwood School District at Ellisville Elementary. In 2003-04, I accepted a district administrative position in the Parkway School District as the Curriculum Coordinator of Health and Physical Education. I spent 13 years in this role before accepting the Health and Physical Education position at Oak Brook Elementary beginning August 2017.

I graduated from Pattonville High School in 1985 where I was a three-sport letter winner (Football, Wrestling, and Baseball). In 1990, I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Physical Education degree from Truman State University (Kirksville, MO). In 1995, I graduated with my Masters of Science in Physical Education from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville (SIU-E). During my college years, I played baseball at Meramec Community College and Truman State University. I continued my love for baseball by coaching high school baseball for Lafayette High School during my years in Rockwood, as well as Parkway West most recently. I am now the head baseball coach at St. Louis University High.

My favorite ways to be active are trail biking, Pickleball, tennis, and walking/hiking.  My goal is to one day bike the entire Katy Trail across Missouri.
