Dual Enrollment/ECP/MIC

Dual Enrollment- Traditional, Early College, and Make it Count

To be eligible for dual enrollment courses, students must meet the admission requirements established by the partnering institution. In addition, students must comply with Parkway criteria as determined by the Office of Choice Programs.

Traditional Dual Enrollment: The student is enrolled in courses at their home school and a dual enrollment institution. Students must be classified as a junior or senior.

Early College Program: A student is enrolled full time their junior and senior year with St. Louis Community College with the goal of obtaining a bachelor's degree while completing their high school graduation requirements. Students must begin the program junior year. 

Make it Count: Students that have completed their graduation requirements and are fully enrolled the second semester of their senior year with St. Louis Community College. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students may enroll in a maximum of 6 credit hours during the summer term.
  • Students participating in the Early College Program or any on-campus program must maintain a 90% attendance rate to remain eligible for future enrollment.
  • Early College Program students may not enroll in virtual courses during their junior year.
  • Students who are placed on academic probation for two consecutive semesters will not be permitted to continue in dual enrollment courses.

 

Dual Enrollment Guidelines for Traditional Dual Enrollment Students

  • If a student's first semester of dual enrollment occurs during the summer term, enrollment is limited to 3 credit hours.
  • If a student's first semester of dual enrollment occurs during the fall or spring semester, enrollment is limited to 6 credit hours.
  • Following successful completion of the first semester, students may be permitted to enroll in up to 9 credit hours.
