Dental Safari

Dental Safari Company, a mobile dental corporation, travels to schools to provide dental wellness checkups. The Dental group may recommend or refer your child for more urgent treatment or schedule an appointment to return at a later date in the year to provide restorative care. Dental Safari Company is a fully licensed, professional company that believes dental wellness begins with a 3-part approach: Education, Treatment, and Prevention. Your students will receive a visual exam by a licensed dentist, a cleaning, fluoride treatment, and sealants as needed.

All Children Are Eligible:

  • Children with a State Medicaid Identification number
  • Children with private insurance (provide information)
  • Child with cash payment (cash or check) -no Free/Reduced Lunch ($75 reduced fee includes exam, cleaning, fluoride, sealants as needed)
  • Provisional (Need-Based) Services – No Charge – qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch and No Insurance

Following hygiene services, a letter will be sent home indicating the treatment each child received during our visit as well as referral information if needed. Return visits for restorative care may occur later in the year. 

A dental consent must be completed and signed to participate in this service. Please visit www.dentalsafariforms.com to complete our online form or complete our paper consent form and return it to your child’s school.

Oral Health Project

The Parkway Oral Health Fund has been established to help students who need financial assistance to get needed dental care. To this end, the Parkway community is invited to help support this fund. Parkway nurses are offering the following opportunities for all Parkway students.

  1. Request a Tooth Fairy pillow so you are ready at home whenever the tooth fairy comes to visit! This handmade pillow keeps the tooth safe and snug. Limited quantities available. (Suggested donation of $20)
     
  2. Did your child or grandchild recently lose a tooth? Request a Tooth Fairy letter to be sent to them to at school. (Suggested donation of $10)
     
  3. Make any gift to the Parkway Oral Health fund (any donation amount is appreciated and accepted.)
