Special Education Services
Special Education Services for Parkway students are provided by the Special School District of St. Louis County (SSD). Special education teachers and faculty are members of Parkway schools to ensure a seamless delivery of special services during a student's school day.
A Special Education Coordinator is assigned each school within Parkway to support special education staff, students, and families.
The SSD has specialized schools for student's who require more services than can be provided in their neighborhood school. For students attending private/parochial schools or homeschooled within St. Louis County, special education services may be available through the SSD Special Non-Public Access Program.
The Parkway Special Services Department coordinates supports for students with disabilities who do NOT qualify for special education (IEP) services. To learn more about disability supports and accommodations under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, click HERE.
