8/22/2023 -- Melissa Leibbrandt, special educator at Claymont Elementary, has been named one of 17 semifinalists for Missouri’s Teacher of the Year. 

EducationPlus and the St. Louis Regional Professional Development Center select the regional candidates. South High math teacher, Anne Erehart, and Leibbrandt were among 10 teachers honored from the St. Louis region.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will now select the Missouri Teacher of the Year who will automatically become a candidate for the National Teacher of the Year honor.
