Jennifer Sebold named Northeast Middle interim principal
6/8/2017 -- Superintendent Keith Marty announced that Jennifer Sebold has been named interim principal at Northeast Middle School, effective July 1. The board of education voted unanimously in support of the recommendation.
Superintendent Keith Marty said, "We are so pleased we have someone of Jenn's background, talents and skills to move into a principal interim role within the school district. Northeast Middle School has achieved major recognition for its achievement and character programs, and the leader of the school is so vital in continuing the wonderful growth and success."
Sebold has been an assistant principal at Parkway West High School since 2013. Before that, she was with the Rockwood School District as an associate principal at Marquette High School and an assistant principal at Rockwood Summit High School. Prior to that, she was the chair of the English department at McCluer North High School.
Sebold stated, “The staff and students at Northeast Middle School are innovative and continue to challenge themselves to grow in both their academic programming and service mindset. Their priorities demonstrate a clear tie to the district’s mission, and I am extremely grateful to be chosen to support them and grow with them.”
Sebold earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. She received a master’s degree in educational administration from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville and a doctorate in educational leadership from Maryville University.
Sebold replaces Kashina Bell, who has been the principal at Northeast Middle since 2013.
