Southwest Middle’s Paulo Ribeiro named National Middle School PE Teacher of the Year

5/16/2022 -- Southwest Middle’s Paulo Ribeiro has been named National Middle School PE Teacher of the Year by the Society of Health and Physical Educators. Ribeiro received the award at the annual SHAPE America convention in New Orleans.

The Teacher of the Year awards are given in recognition of outstanding teaching performance and the ability to motivate today's youth to participate in a lifetime of physical activity.

Ribeiro is also the Parkway District and Middle School Teacher of the Year.
