5/2/2022 -- Thirteen citizens applied for the open seat on the Parkway Board of Education. The candidates, in order of filing, are:

4. Douglas Schoen (Not moving forward due to incomplete application)
5. Robert Kim
6. Aimee Cacciatore
7. Tiffany Mapp Franklin
8. Joseph Kohler
9. Sam Sciortino
10. Joseph Regenbogen
11. David Hinners
12. Jovan Willis
13. Renita Renee Waters

Citizens who applied will be asked to participate in an open interview process with the Board of Education on Wednesday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at the Parkway Welcome Center, located at 760 Woods Mill Road, 63011. Applications submitted will be posted as part of the May 11, board meeting materials.

The citizen appointed to the Board of Education will fill the remaining 10 months of Kristy Klein Davis’ term, until the next school board election in April of 2023. Klein Davis announced her intent to resign from the Parkway Board of Education effective June 2, 2022; Klein Davis accepted a job outside of the St. Louis region and her family will move after the school year ends.

The board is following its policy for School Board Vacancies which includes an open process where the board will discuss and ultimately vote to appoint a member to fill the vacancy.
