Cardinals faced the Dodgers with Parkway Central alumni Max Scherzer on the pitching mound for post-season play. While at Central, Max earned 1st Team All-Conference pitcher and outfielder, 2nd Team All-Metro pitcher. Scherzer was also a co-captain for his senior season. He also made many single season records in his time at Central.
