Mike McKenna [PSH]
Although Mike didn't graduate from PSH, he is still a Parkway alum at heart. He attended Sorrento Springs Elementary from K-6, Southwest Middle, and Parkway South before moving away from home to pursue his hockey dreams.
Mike is a former NHL goaltender who played on teams all across North America. After retiring from professional hockey, Mike is on to his next adventure - he'll be opening up our area's first Macadoodles location this fall in Dardenne Prairie, with eyes to the future on additional locations.
Mike, who enjoyed a 14-year career as a professional hockey goaltender (NHL, AHL, ECHL), is now working in the retail wine and spirits business, bringing the first Macadoodles to the greater St. Louis area. Post-playing career, he worked in broadcasting as TV Analyst for the Vegas Golden Knights, and as a radio host for SiriusXM NHL Network. He's an experienced writer for Daily Faceoff, InGoalMagazine, and NHL.com. Mike has hosted several podcasts (6 Degrees with Mike McKenna, St. Lawrence Hockey Podcast, Suitcase & The Scribe) and occasionally moonlights on St. Louis Blues radio broadcasts, providing color commentary.
Mike has over a decade of experience as PHPA (Professional Hockey Players' Association) player representative and Executive Committee member, as voted by peers. He played in 15 different NHL organizations and graduated in 2005 from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York with a degree in Economics.
