Central High student wins first place in Academy of Science - St. Louis Science Fair
3/21/2017 --The Academy of Science - St. Louis announced the top students who participated in the Academy of Science - St. Louis Science Fair - Honors Division event on March 4. Central High’s Jessica Sun won first place. High school students have completed collegiate-level research in their classrooms and labs. The competition was held at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Sun will be recognized at the 2017 Academy of Science - St. Louis Outstanding Scientists Awards dinner to be held at the Chase Park Plaza on April 6. As first place winner, Sun receives a $3,000 scholarship.
In addition, Sun is qualified to compete at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair in May and will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Los Angeles, Calif. for the fair.
Parkway had one finalist, Aditya Gokhale, grade 12, from Parkway North High who will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Over 60 MD's, Ph.D.'s, and professionals with exceptional engineering/technology expertise, generously served as Honors Division judges.
