Christina Pliske selected as principal of McKelvey Primary

4/19/2023 -- Christina Pliske has been selected as the next principal of McKelvey Primary, effective July 1. 

Pliske is currently an assistant principal in the Francis Howell School District. Prior to this leadership position, she served as an elementary classroom teacher and instructional coach in the Francis Howell and City of St. Charles School Districts. She began her career more than 10 years ago as an elementary teacher in Fort Worth, Texas working with students that speak English as a second language.

Pliske brings many years of successful teaching and leading schools to serve all students. As a principal, curriculum instructional coach, behavioral intervention leader and classroom teacher, she has successfully addressed both the academic and social-emotional needs of all children. This leadership and her experiences will greatly benefit the McKelvey Primary community.

Pliske holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Maryville University. She also holds a master’s in educational administration from Lindenwood University and a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Louis University.
