Parkway CFO honored as visionary leader
7/17/2018 -- The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has selected Patricia Bedborough, CPA, MBA, SFO, chief financial officer for Parkway Schools, as a recipient of the association’s 2018 Distinguished Eagle Award. The award honors visionary K–12 school business leaders who have improved student achievement and enriched their school communities.
Recognizing that the district’s mission requires efficient use of resources, Bedborough developed a zero-based budgeting process and reorganized portions of district operations. She also has led sustainability efforts, established a sports marketing initiative, forged new community partnerships, established near-site health clinics for staff and much more. With more than 15 years in school business, she is a recognized leader among her peers regionally and statewide.
Bedborough will receive a $2,500 college scholarship to present to a high school student and will be formally recognized at ASBO International’s 2018 Annual Meeting & Expo, September 21–24, in Kissimmee, Florida.
The Eagle Awards are sponsored by ASBO International Strategic Partner, AXA.
