Parkway will serve all students in Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs across St. Louis County

3/29/2023 -- Parkway is expanding to serve more families in our Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs. In partnership with the Special School District of St. Louis County (SSD), Parkway Schools will now serve all students across St. Louis County in need of Deaf and Hard of Hearing services.

Right now, Parkway serves students in Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs at Bellerive, West Middle and West High. Next year, students who are currently served by Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs in the northern part of St. Louis County will move to Parkway Schools.

In order to serve more students, there will be additional locations for this program. Therefore, starting next school year (August 2023):

  • Parkway will provide deaf and hard-of-hearing programs in two areas of the district in order to serve more families.

    • Bellerive Elementary, Northeast Middle and North High and;

    • Highcroft Ridge Elementary, West Middle and West High

  • Students who live outside of the north area of Parkway will attend Highcroft Elementary, West Middle and West High.

  • Students who reside in the north area of Parkway will attend north area schools Bellerive, Northeast Middle and North High.

  • Students currently served by SSD deaf and hard-of-hearing programs in the northern part of the county will attend Parkway schools - Bellerive, Northeast Middle and North High.

We look forward to welcoming more students and families and expanding our program to serve the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community!
