Superintendent search process finalized
The Parkway Board of Education met with the national search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) on September 4 to establish the process and timeline for selecting Parkway's next superintendent.
Throughout September, HYA will focus on developing a comprehensive leadership profile that reflects the characteristics, skills, and qualities the Parkway community seeks in its next superintendent. Input from students, parents, staff, community members, and other key stakeholders will be gathered through an online survey and approximately 20 focus groups. The leadership profile will be approved by the Board and used to guide the identification and evaluation of potential candidates.
"The voices of our community are essential in this process," said Jeff Todd, Parkway Board of Education President. "We want to ensure that our next superintendent reflects the Parkway community's values, vision, and priorities. This is one of the most important decisions the Board will make, and we are committed to getting it right."
The Parkway community can take the survey online through this link until September 28. Paper copies of the survey are available at the Parkway Administration Center, 455 N. Woods Mill Road, and the Parkway Welcome Center, 760 Woods Mill Road.
HYA plans to screen potential candidates in October. Top candidates will be interviewed by the Board in November. The Board anticipates selecting the new superintendent by early December.
Superintendent Dr. Keith Marty, who has led Parkway for the past 14 years, announced he will retire on June 30, 2025.
