General

To register for AP exams at Central High in May, please go to the PCH Counseling website and click on AP EXAM REGISTRATION. Complete the online Google Doc to register first, and then visit the school store to pay! See Mrs. Greenwood in Counseling with any questions. Students have until Friday, March 2nd to register!

 

February is Heart Awareness Month and High School Heroes will be coming around to Ac Labs collecting donations and selling items for the American Heart Association. 'Go Red - dress pins' are $5 and 'What is Your Why' bracelets are $1, all donations go to the St. Louis Area Branch of the American Heart Association.

In addition, we are hosting a HeartChase Fun Run on Saturday, February 24th at 10am on the PCH track.  Run up to 8 laps with a 'minute to win it' game at the end of each lap.  For more details, see Ms. O'Leary or visit our school website.

 

Clubs and Activities

Attention Business Students.  Applications for the National Business Honor Society are now open!  See the NBHS website or a business teacher for the application.  Applications are due February 23.



The Music Department's Masterworks Concert is Tuesday night at 7:30 PM at Logan University's Purser Center. Over 200 orchestra and choir students will collaborate for a performance of the music of Bach, G.F. Handel (not to be confused with his cousin Devoin Shower-Handel) and Antonio Vivaldi. The concert is free for students and staff!

 

Congratulations to the PCH Winterguard for their performance at the Edwardsville, IL Wingterguard contest. PCH placed 3rd in their round of 9 and 4th overall in their class of 19. Way to go guard!!

 

International Club is selling Valentine's Day balloons during all lunches today through Tuesday. Balloons are $3 a piece.

 

Tell the one you love how you really feel in a more unique way this Valentine's Day! The PCH Players are selling sonnet-grams for $1 dollar at lunch! Pick among 8 poems that convey friendship, love, awkwardness or is just ridiculous. Actors from the Theatre Dept will perform your poem of choice to the lucky person in their 1st, 3rd, 5th or 7th hr classes on Tuesday, FEB. 14!!! So don't hesitate, get your personalized sonnet-gram this week at all lunch shifts!

 

Ferguson Youth Tutors invites you to donate new or lightly used books for the Ferguson Municipal Library. Bring these books to your English teachers from February 5th through the 16th. In addition, whoever brings in the most books will win a jar of gummy worms!
