Clubs and Activities   

Do you like working with computers? Would you like to learn how to take a computer apart and put it together again? Or fix a computer by replacing or repairing various parts on the inside? Come check out the Computer Building Club and learn all about computer repair and building. The Computer Building Club will meet Monday, October 14 in the library after school. If you have any questions about the club, please see a librarian or Mr. Oric, our technology specialist. 




Attention science enthusiasts! Science olympiad is recruiting team members for the 2020 competition. Share your expertise in any science subject. To learn more, join us on October 16 after school in Ms. Jacques room, 702





FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, will have an informational meeting Friday at 10:00 in Room 408. 

 

 

 

Spanish club is meeting this Thursday, October 10 after school in Profe Kelty's room, #412. Be there for games and candy for the winners--and if you're in Spanish club you're already a winner.

  

 



A Moment in Hispanic History. Do you know Sor Juana Inês de la Cruz. (pronounced SOAR WAN-na EE-Ness DAY la CREWS) Considered a pioneer of women's rights at a time when neither feminism nor gender equality had entered our lexicon, Mexican-born nun Sor Juana Inês de la Cruz (pronounced SOAR WAN-na EE-Ness DAY la CREWS) was a 17th-century feminist writer and thinker. She is most known for her work "Respuesta a Sor Filotea," which argued for a woman's right to education. de la Cruz rose in prominence during the 20th century during the second wave of feminism, and is now widely considered the first feminist author of the New World.

Or send one of your parents to a meeting on Tuesday, October 15th at 6:30PM in room 2100 to hear all the important details. 

 

 

 

I know you've been waiting for this....it's finally here....MATH CONTESTS!!!! Yes, starting next week YOU can earn extra credit and street cred for your math abilities!!! The first contest is next Tuesday after school in the math department. Bring your brain, your calculator, and a pencil. If you have questions, ask your math teacher. Now... go out there and solve some math problems!!!

 

 

 

Attention Sophomores: Applications are now available for High School Heroes on the PCH Website. This is a Safe & Drug Free Program in which sophomores go to PCMS and teach 2 lessons on the dangers of using tobacco, marijuana, and vaping to 6th graders. Applications are due Friday, Oct. 11th. See Ms. O'Leary in the PE department for more details.





Picture retake day for grades 9-11 be on Friday, Nov. 1 during Ac Lab in the Social Studies Commons. If you need a retake, bring your original picture package for an even exchange. If you were absent for picture day, and want to buy this time around, come to room 948 to pick up a new package order form, or order online at wagnerportraitgroup.com

 

Senior picture day will be on Nov. 15 during Ac Lab in the Gym A lobby. This is the last at-school opportunity for seniors to get your pictures taken to be in the yearbook. There's no sign up or appointment and it's free--seniors will just come during Ac Lab for their picture.
