Student Course Schedules

Yesterday, student schedules for 2020-2021 were made available via Infinite Campus. As you know, we are shifting to a quarter system this year, which means students will only have four credit-bearing classes (Blocks 1, 2, 3, & 4) and a support block (i.e. Ac Lab) for the first quarter (August 24 - October 23). Students, if you have not already done so, please log on to Infinite Campus to review your schedule of classes.

You may have also noticed times listed for each course in Infinite Campus. Please ignore those times during distance learning. The daily high school schedule during distance learning can be found here.

Schoology

Schoology will serve as our Distance Learning platform and can be accessed by students here. Please note: teachers are still in the process of preparing their pages.

Parents, you will be receiving an email today from the district with directions for how to set up a parent account.

Curriculum Material Pick Up

Some students will be asked to pick up curriculum materials for certain courses from PCH next week. A separate email with additional information will be sent to all students and parents this afternoon.

Chromebooks

If you still need to pick up a Chromebook, click here for more information.

Parkway’s Technology Help Desk

If you need technical assistance, students and parents can email the Technology Help Desk at helpdesk@parkwayschools.net or call 314-415-8181 from 7 am - 5 pm. Thank you, in advance, for your patience; the Help Desk is experiencing a high volume of calls.

PCH Webinar for New Parents

This evening at 7 pm, Dr. Marvin Byrd, Mr. Travis Fast, and I will host a webinar for all parents new to PCH (parents of 9th graders and new 10th, 11th, and 12th graders). The purpose of the webinar is to share information and answer questions; our goal is to support you in your efforts to support your student. Click here to register. You will receive the link after you submit your registration.

Virtual Orientation for 9th Graders

All freshmen are invited to participate in our virtual 9th grade orientation on Friday, August 21 from 11 am - 1 pm. Link Crew is our orientation program; Link Leaders are junior and senior students selected to welcome and support our 9th grade students. Ninth graders will receive an email invite from their designated Link Leader.

Virtual Orientation for New 10th, 11th, & 12th Graders

On Friday, August 21 from 12 pm - 1 pm, Dr. Sarah Power (12th grade), Mr. Travis Fast (11th grade), and Mr. Chris Dallas (10th grade) will host orientation sessions for new students. Students will receive an email from their grade level administrator.

Virtual “Walk Your Schedule” Session

At 1 pm on Friday, August 21, all PCH students are invited to participate in a virtual “walk your schedule” session. This will serve as a practice opportunity to log in and “report” to each of your first quarter classes, including Ac Lab. The session schedule is as follows…

01:00 pm: Block 1

01:05 pm: Block 2

01:10 pm: Block 3

01:15 pm: Block 4

01:20 pm: Ac Lab

Students, login to Schoology, click on each of your first quarter courses, then find the link to the Zoom Meeting or Google Meet for that class. Please participate! There's just enough time to say a quick hello. Doing this on Friday afternoon will make Monday morning a little easier, plus teachers are excited to see you.

First Day of School

The 2020-2021 school year will officially begin on Monday, August 24 at 10 am. As a reminder: the first nine weeks of the school year (through October 23) will be distance learning. Thank you for your careful review of this information. Go Colts!
