Parkway selects new chief financial officer
3/20/2024 -- Parkway Schools has selected Carrie Nunn as its new chief financial officer, effective July 1.
Nunn has 18 years of accounting experience, including eight years in public education as the director of accounting with the Mehlville School District. Before working in education, Nunn was a material and program accountant for the Boeing Company. She also worked for Scottrade, Fitzgerald & Floyd CPA and Kraft.
"Carrie Nunn brings a rich finance background from both the private and public sectors, that has been her background,” said Superintendent Keith Marty. “Her recent work in school budgeting and finance in a larger school district will transfer very well to Parkway. Carrie will be able to transition to her role alongside Patty Bedborough, who is leaving Parkway with years of outstanding work and a legacy of financial stability."
Nunn has a bachelor of science in accounting from Truman State University. She is a certified administrator of school finance and operations from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) and has a strategic leadership certificate from the University of California.
Nunn replaces Patty Bedborough, who is retiring this June after 10 years with Parkway.
