New Parkway administrators
4/26/2024 -- Jamie Cohee has been selected as the next principal of Ross Elementary. Cohee has been an integral part of Ross since 2020, serving as the assistant principal. Before this, he dedicated four years to teaching fourth and fifth grade at Hanna Woods. His professional journey also includes roles as an instructional coach and elementary school teacher. He has served the Ross community well through leadership changes and offered stability through the pandemic. He has gained the respect and admiration of educators and the larger community.
Cohee holds a master’s in teaching English as a second language from Webster University, a master’s in school leadership from Wilmington University in Delaware, and a bachelor of science in elementary education from Wesley College in Delaware.
Dr. Joey Kneer has been selected to be the interim principal at Bellerive Elementary. Kneer is a demonstrated Parkway leader, having served as assistant principal at Northeast Middle and currently, Henry Elementary. He has collaborated with Dr. Jami DeBosch and has experience managing programs similar to those at Bellerive. Kneer focuses on students and their growth, and he understands a diverse school population that serves a variety of student learning and developmental needs.
Brian Smith has been selected to serve as interim principal at Pierremont Elementary. Smith’s years of school leadership experience have helped yield success in almost a dozen interim positions in Parkway since 2017. For 17 years, he served as a principal or assistant principal in the Affton School District before he retired in 2014. Brian’s passion for students and the education setting has been apparent in every role he has served. His many experiences are apparent in his work and his relationships with educators.
