2/23/2024 -- Scott Wilkerson has been selected as the next principal of McKelvey Elementary, effective July 1.

Wilkerson has been serving as the interim principal of McKelvey since July of 2023. Wilkerson has served in many Parkway schools for the past six years when temporary leadership was needed. Before joining Parkway, he was the principal at Hancock Place Middle School.

“Scott Wilkerson brings tremendous past experiences and school leadership to his role at McKelvey,” Superintendent Keith Marty said. “He has already positively impacted the students, staff and families this past year. He models passion for young people and public education. We are fortunate to have Mr. Wilkerson continue his leadership with Parkway and the McKelvey community.”

Wilkerson has an education specialist degree and a master of science in educational leadership from Lindenwood University. He also holds a bachelor of science in education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
