9/15/2022 -- The Parkway Alumni Association announced 11 individuals for induction into the Parkway Alumni Hall of Fame on November 12, 2022.
The Parkway Alumni Hall of Fame was created as a way to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Parkway School District. The Alumni Association inducted the charter class into the Hall of Fame in November 2004.
Today, the program continues to recognize Parkway graduates who have brought honor to the district by distinguishing themselves through career achievements and outstanding community service in the years since they graduated from high school. Now, after ten cycles of nominations and selections, the inductee list includes 220+ outstanding Parkway graduates from all walks of life.
Meet our newest inductees, the class of 2022:
- Michael Calhoun, news reporter
- Darrion Cockrell, teacher
- Silas Goldman, healthcare innovation
- Katie Harris, community service and non-profit leadership
- Larry R. Harris, pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence
- Mark Fisher, entrepreneur
- Randy Karraker, radio broadcasting
- John Lenac, icon in the music industry
- Mike Lenz, executive VP & CEO, FedEx
- Mariam Nawas, hematology and oncology research
- Steve Sobo, construction project manager
An important and meaningful recognition for Parkway alumni is the Hall of Fame. Every other year, nominations are sought for graduates who have brought honor to the district by distinguishing themselves through career achievements and outstanding community service in the years since they graduated from high school.
The Class 2022 is a diversified group in many ways. Their professional backgrounds include technology, business, engineering, journalism, community service, architecture, banking, filmmaking, business, education and sports. You can find out more about them at ParkwayAlumni.org.
The next induction of Parkway alumni into the Hall of Fame will take place on November 12, 2022, at the Sheraton Westport Chalet Hotel in St. Louis. Register to attend the Hall of Fame event here. Tickets are $95 per person. This induction ceremony will celebrate both the class of 2020 and 2022.
Donations to the PAA Annual Fund help to offset the costs associated with the Hall of Fame, award programs, our alumni database and other operating expenses. Gifts to PAA continue our mission to encourage communication among alumni and foster programs which serve and support the Parkway community.
