Show them you care

It’s that time of year - your opportunity to nominate someone you feel is deserving of special recognition for their commitment to Parkway Schools and our students. Nominate someone for recognition by February 14.

 

Pillar of Parkway
Who can be nominated: Any Parkway employee, citizen, resident or volunteer can be nominated for a Pillar of Parkway.
Deadline: February 14

 

Since 1972, the Pillar of Parkway has been recognized as the most prestigious honor that can be presented to worthy candidates who work or volunteer within the Parkway community. To be considered for this esteemed award, please explain how your nominee has made a long-term commitment to Parkway by providing extraordinary service to the Parkway community. Explain how they have demonstrated consistent leadership and exceptional performance, motivate and inspire others, go far beyond what is expected, exemplifies the ideals of his/her role, has a vision beyond the immediate, while they are an active and positive role model. Light of Parkway
Who can be nominated: Operations (non-certified) staff who have worked in the district since August 1, 2018.
Deadline: Nominations are due to the Parkway Alumni office at 455 N. Woods Mill Rd. by 4 pm on February 14.

 

Nominations are being sought for the Light of Parkway Award, a program sponsored by the Parkway Alumni Association. This award recognizes Parkway operations staff members who have helped to create a positive and caring environment for the people they serve in Parkway. Winners will receive a plaque and $500 at Appreciation Evening in the spring. Please refer to the nomination form for details. Forms will be provided in each Parkway building and may be downloaded at www.ParkwayAlumni.org.

 

Albert Award
Who can be nominated: Parkway teachers in their first through fifth year of teaching
Deadline: Nominations are due to the Parkway Alumni office at 455 N. Woods Mill Rd. by 4 pm on February 14.

Do you know an outstanding Parkway teacher who has been teaching for five years or less? If you do, please consider nominating him or her for an Albert Award! Sponsored by the Parkway Alumni Association, the annual awards are designed to recognize teachers in the early stage of their career who are making a difference in the lives of their students and colleagues. Awardees receive $1,000 and a plaque at Appreciation Evening in the spring. Nomination forms will be provided to all schools and can be downloaded at www.ParkwayAlumni.org.
