Building access and packing up classrooms

Dear Teachers and Staff,

In the next few days, we will share plans for you to retrieve items from school and pack up classrooms. Teachers and school building staff can access buildings the week of May 18. More information and details will be provided by your principal as plans, dates and times will vary by school.

Each plan will provide safe access to our buildings for staff, following approved health and social distancing guidelines and limiting the number of people in an area of the building at the same time.

As you re-enter school buildings, please keep in mind the following:

  • Keep at least 6 feet between yourself and others.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover.
  • Clean your hands and disinfect frequently touched items.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • You should not enter a building if, in the past 14 days, you have experienced: A fever (100.4 or higher), or a sense of having a fever, a cough, sore throat, or new muscle aches.

These posters will be displayed to serve as reminders.

Next week, we will give parents a heads up that there will be opportunities for students to drop off school materials and pick up personal belongings. Plans will vary by grade level and building with most student pick up/drop off happening after teachers and staff have packed up. School principals will share additional details with parents.

Look for more information from your school and principal next week.
