PAA welcomes new executive director, new board members

Parkway Alumni Association has welcomed several Parkway graduates to its leadership this summer!


Amy (Cole) Buehler [West '84] became the PAA executive director in July. She brings with her many years of experience from the nonprofit sector, most recently as development director for Variety, The Children’s Charity of St. Louis. 


She holds a master's degree in international relations from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in political science, along with minors in history and Spanish, from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She started her career in Washington, D.C., as a publicist before moving into a career in non-profit management, development and public relations.


After serving multiple organizations, including executive director for both the Animal Protective Association of Missouri and Therapeutic Horsemanship (now TREE House of Greater St. Louis), Buehler founded a consulting firm dedicated to working alongside a wide range of non-profit organizations throughout Missouri. She also is faculty and director of Washington University's Non-profit Management Masters Program. 


Additionally, the PAA board will induct four new members on Aug. 22: Mark Brimer [West '91], Mary (Magreiter) Hediger [Central '81], Mitzi (Damper) Lowery [Central '90] and Thomas M. Smith, Ed.D. [West '75, HOF '14].
