Dr. Joey Kneer named permanent principal of Bellerive Elementary
Dr. Joey Kneer has been named the permanent principal of Bellerive Elementary. Dr. Kneer has served as interim principal since July, earning widespread support from staff and families for his leadership and dedication to the Bellerive community.
Dr. Kneer has a proven track record of supporting student success, with 13 years of leadership in Parkway schools. Prior to his role at Bellerive, he served as assistant principal at Northeast Middle and at Henry Elementary. He began his career as a math teacher at Ladue Horton Watkins High School and holds a doctorate in education from Saint Louis University.
"In a short period of time, Dr. Kneer has provided the Bellerive community with outstanding child-centered leadership,” Superintendent Dr. Keith Marty said. “His visibility, active engagement with students, staff, and families, and his investment in the rich and diverse community led us to remove the Interim label and name Dr. Kneer the permanent Principal of Bellerive Elementary School."
Dr. Kneer expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to lead the school.
“The Bellerive community immediately welcomed me with open arms, and I am proud to have earned their trust,” Dr. Kneer said. “I am continually inspired by the dedication of our staff, the leadership of our students, and the support of our families. This school truly embodies the meaning of community, and I feel so fortunate to be part of it.”
Congratulations to Dr. Kneer on his new role as Bellerive’s principal!
