Argumentative mini-paper

Choose an argumentative topic from one of the Upfront debates.  You may use one of the topics discussed in class, or you may browse other topics in the magazines in the room.  Write a 1 - 2 page paper arguing your position on the topic. Your paper should include the following:

1. An explanation of the topic
2. A clear statement of your position
3. At least two supporting reasons
4. One opposing view and response 
5. Two persuasive appeals:  pathos, logos, or ethos
6. One example using a paraphrase 
7. One example using a summary
