Growing the Barretts Community One Gift at a Time

The Bobcat Dash is back!! On October 11, 2019, Barretts Elementary will host the 3rd annual Bobcat Dash Fun Run Fundraiser. This is a FUN opportunity to raise money for our school. Our kids will have 30 minutes to run, walk, skip, dance and exercise their way around the track while parents and supporters line the course to cheer them on! The best part is we keep 100% of the money you pledge right here at the school. 100% of your tax deductible donation will support the Barretts PTO which funds various items such as Arts Partners, Ways & Means grants for teachers, field trips, teacher appreciation, books for the library, capital improvements and much, much more. The PTO will still offer Barrett community events such as Progressive Dinner, Movie Night, Barretts Blast, Sign-Up Parties and the annual Trivia Night. Last school year we exceeded our goal raising over $20,000.   Our goal is to raise $20,000 again this year.  Register for the run and volunteer for the event: www.barretts.dojiggy.com

    Trivia Night

Our annual Trivia Night/Silent Auction will be held on March 7, 2020. This is always a fun event, which provides a great social opportunity for our families and staff while raising money to support our school. Gather your friends and form a table and look forward to a fun filled evening with other Barretts parents.

    Box Tops 4 Education

Collecting Box Tops is easy...just look for them on the boxes and packages of items you already shop for at the grocer. We earn over $2,000 a year from Box Tops alone.  All you have to do is cut out the Box Tops you find on products that you already purchase and start collecting them.  A couple times throughout the year we ask you to send in your Box Tops and we will have a contest among the classrooms to see which classrooms collect the most Box Tops.

    Schnucks eSCRIP Cards

Swipe your card at Schnucks and a percentage of every sale is sent directly to our school. Pick one up for all your relatives! There are two very simple steps:

    1. Pick one up at the Courtesy Counter at Schnucks
    2. Make a quick phone call to register your card to point benefits to Barretts PTO.

    Target Card

We've discovered a terrific way to raise funds for our school. It's super-easy, and all you have to do is use your Target Credit Card®, or Target® Visa® Credit Card. We will receive 1% of the amount of each purchase in the form of an annual check from Target through the Take Charge of Education® program.

Did you know you can apply for the Target Debit Card® and it links directly to your checking account.  When you use your Target Debit Card® you receive 5% off your purchases and 1% will be donated to Barretts!  Shop for clothes, groceries, household items, and much more and you will save money and Barretts will also benefit!

    Parties With A Purpose

It's time to party for a good cause!  Parties with a Purpose are teacher or parent-hosted parties that will run throughout the school year and into the summer.  These events can be either student, parent or family parties hosted by a group of people willing to donate their time and talents into creating a fun experience for our students or parents!  Last year we raised $16,290!  Teacher-hosted parties earned $3,855 and they got to keep ALL that money to purchase items for their classrooms!  We are still looking for hosts for this year.  If you have an idea and want to host a party, please contact Michelle Millonas - msmillonas@gmail.com

    Restaurant Spirit Nights

We will be offering "spirit nights" at local restaurants throughout the school year.  Be on the lookout for these opportunities to get out of cooking for an evening and help support our school!
