  • March 28, 2017

    • SouthTalks: Seeing 20/20 will be Friday, March 31, 2017. If you haven't yet signed up for a session and would like to do so, see Mrs. Brady in the counseling loft.
    • SENIORS: Anyone interested in trying out for graduation speaker, the first round of tryouts will be tomorrow, March 29th during 6th block in Room 2217.  You must sign up in Student Activities to reserve a spot during your lunch shift.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Hachmeister in room 2217. 
    • Join us to find out who will be crowned Mr. Patriot 2017 this Friday, March 31st at 7 pmin the theater.  Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5.
    • Video game club will be held today after school in room 2503.
    • Speech and debate team members need to attend a meeting  today, March 28that either 7:15am or 2:35pm.  Everyone needs to attend to discuss the end of the year banquet.
    • In case you missed it, congrats to the girls varsity and junior varsity lacrosse teams in their season openers! Varsity defeated Notre Dame 16--2 and JV defeated Lindbergh 6-2.  Bravo to the teams!  Keep up the good work.
    • Join in supporting the Parkway girls soccer program. The team will be hosting a breakfast fundraiser at Mike Duffy's this weekend, Saturday, April 1st, from 8am -10am.  Tickets are $12 per person and can be purchased from Coach Forthaus, or through a player in the soccer program.
    • SENIORS: Please pick up your permission form from the bookstore for Senior Day at Six Flags.  A ticket must be purchased in the school store by Friday, April 7th.  The cost is $31 and all outstanding fines must be paid before purchasing a ticket.
    • Due to SouthTalks presentations, the library will be closed on Friday, March 31st, including lunch and AcLab
    • SENIORS: The annual Senior Citizen Dance will be held April 15th in Gym A from 12-3.  Invite your grandparents and their friends to come and dance, eat and have fun with you!  They will need to RSVP to 314-415 7758 by April 13th
    • Spring is in the air down at the PSH thrift shop. Say hello to spring when you buy any floral wear item and get the second half off. Open during all lunches on Thursday in the FACS hallway
    • SENIORS: If you ordered a panoramic picture, please stop by Student Activities to pick it up.
    • The annual Junior class sponsored Festival of Foods event is coming up on April 10th! All monies raised from ticket sales and the silent auction go toward funding the After-Grad celebration.  Buy your ticket NOW in the bookstore for just $10. 
    • The district’s Department of Pupil Personnel and Diversity is hosting a Hunger Banquet on April 8th from 4pm –6pm at the Instructional Services Center on Fee Fee Road. There is no cost, but donations are greatly appreciated. All donations go toward starting up Parkway's own district food pantry for students and their families.  For more information see Mrs. Fezzi or Ms. Farnam in the counseling loft.
    • Key Club will be meeting tomorrow, March 29th, in Mrs. Guzman's room, room 2312, after school
    • Are you interested in pursuing a career in the military? Have you met with a military recruiter who recommends you take the ASVAB?  If so, sign up to take the ASVAB for free at South High on April 6th during blocks 2 and 4.  You can sign up on the Counseling webpage - the link to register is located under the Counseling Announcements.  The deadline to sign up is March 31st!  See Mrs. Armon in Counseling if you have questions. 
    • SENIORS: Don’t forget to pay your graduation fee of $65!   This fee covers your cap, gown, tassel, diploma, and diploma cover.  Remember, you will need to pay any outstanding fees and fines before paying the graduation fee in the bookstore.
    • Session 4 of the ACT Prep classes is now underway.  You can still register to attend classes online.  You can find the Google form on our website under the Counseling tab, English and Science classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays after school and Math meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  
    • Attention seniors in the A+ Program:  Mandatory exit meetings will be held during Mod 2 of selected AcLabs starting today and ending tomorrow, March 29th, in Mrs. Gebhard's room, #2303.  Look for notifications coming through AcLab for your designated date (or check the A+ web site under Counseling on PSHwired.net).  If you cannot attend, you must see Mrs. Gebhard ASAP to reschedule your time.
    • Fit-N-Fine meets after school every Wednesday in room 1507 for fun and fitness.  All are welcome to join in for an hour of non competitive, encouraging environment.  Have fun and get fit
    • During all lunches, please COMPOST!  Use the yellow bins in the commons for: food, trays, and napkins ONLY!
