    Mr. Mooney's Biography


    Mr. Mooney is a graduate of Pekin Community High School (1997) in Pekin IL and Washington University (2001). There, he majored in mathematics and minored in physics with a strong extracurricular interest in choral singing and dance. He put in a Year Of Service as a Campus Ministry Intern at the Catholic Student Center at Washington University before getting his Masters in Teaching at Washington University (2003).

    Mr. Mooney began his teaching career at Parkway West in 2003. He currently teaches in the Mathematics department. He has taught numerous classes and currently focuses on Geometry, Precalculus and College Algebra. He is also in charge of the Math Contest Program.

    Mr. Mooney is the Mathematics Assistant Department Leader, assistant for the Drama Department and is a sponsor of the New Student Welcome Team, Link Crew.  He is currently serving as Immediate Past President of the Mathematics Educators of Greater Saint Louis.  He was also awarded the Parkway West Teacher of the Year Award for 2013-2014.
