National School of Character
Each year, Character.org recognizes schools across the country who are doing outstanding things with character education. These schools are distinguished by the fact that the adults in the building embrace their role as models for students. The entire school staff works collaboratively with students, parents, and community members. All stakeholders aim to positively shape the social, emotional, and character development of the young people in their community. Students in schools of character report feeling safe, respected, and connected to others around them. Because of this, they thrive both socially and academically.
Parkway Northeast Middle School has been named a
State and National School of Character in 2017 and 2022.
