The Andrae Smith Memorial Scholarship
Mr. Andrae Smith was a social studies teacher at Parkway Northeast Middle School from 2015 to 2023. During those eight years of dedicated service, he made an ever-lasting impact on his scholars, families, and colleagues. Mr. Smith built amazing relationships and had a deep passion for all of his scholars' continued success. Further, he was generous with his time as a track coach and frequently visited his scholars at various events and games. He had a love for traveling, social justice, and teaching factual history to his 8th graders.
Mr. Smith had a positive yet quiet spirit that he brought to all of his endeavors. He touched the lives of many people. Each of them is a better person for having known him. He will always be remembered for his great love for the Northeast Middle Jr. Viking community, and as a wonderful family member, colleague, teacher, and friend to many.
Those who knew Andrae would like to cherish his memory with an award that will be given annually to a senior member of Parkway North High and Parkway Northeast Middle School. Particularly, those who desire to go into teaching and are social justice advocates.
