About Green Trails Elementary School
170 Portico Drive, Chesterfield 63017
Dr. Erika Niles, Principal - Mr. Andrew Ging, Assistant PrincipalGreen Trails is all about learning...the learning of students, teachers, parents, and community members. Green Trails is an extremely child-centered environment in which ALL students are seen as individuals. A sense of belonging and warmth can be felt as you enter the building. Students of Green Trails strive to reach their potential academically, socially, and emotionally through the continual encouragement and instruction by caring faculty, parents, and community members.
In this diverse environment, a strong emphasis is given to acceptance and celebrating the individual. Green Trails is an ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) site in which students from around the world are integrated within the classrooms. As a result, students embrace diversity and are consistently surrounded by learning opportunities.
Green Trails' mission statement is aligned to that of Parkway; the mission is one we live and breathe each and every day. The mission of the Parkway School District is to:
Ensure all students are capable, curious, confident and caring learners who understand and respond to the challenges of an ever-changing world.
Green Trails is dedicated to the achievement and advancement of all students. Expectations are high, and students are expected to transfer what they know to the real world. A strong focus of differentiation is evident throughout the building in which teachers build on the individual strengths of the students. At Green Trails, teachers work together collaboratively to engage in best practices for student success. This includes challenging students who have mastered the curriculum to think deeply about and extend their learning. If a student is not succeeding, there is a systemic process in place to make sure no student is "left behind."
Green Trails' teachers and staff are proud of their partnership with the parents of the community. Parents have many opportunities to volunteer their time to special activities at Green Trails. The Parent Teacher Organization continually seeks opportunities to raise funds, which are used to enhance learning, to sponsor students, and to sustain events.Official Missouri School Profile for Green Trails (Opens in new browser window)Green Trails Core Values
