10/9/2024 – More than 1,400 voices from our community helped shape the leadership profile for Parkway's next superintendent that the Board of Education approved on Wednesday. Our national search firm will use the leadership profile to guide its work.

The firm will be looking for a leader with experience in a large, diverse district, with a strong track record in student achievement and fiscal responsibility. This person will be an effective communicator, innovative thinker, and collaborative leader who’s focused on students.

The ideal candidate will also:

• Foster a positive, trusting environment among faculty, staff, administrators and school districts

• Recruit and retain top talent

• Set high expectations for all students and staff

• Communicate transparently

• Understand and be sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body and community

• Be visible throughout the District and actively engaged in community life

The board plans to name the next Parkway superintendent in December.
