    Patriot Notes

    Dear Patriot Community,

The winter break is upon us, and it is the perfect time to reflect on the accomplishments and shared experiences that have enriched South High.

We are excited about the possibilities that the new year holds. May it bring new opportunities for continued learning, growth, and collaboration. We look forward to starting the second semester.

Wishing you all a restful winter break, a joyous holiday season, and a Happy New Year!

    With Patriot Pride-

    Angie Pappas-Muyco

Parkway South High is hosting it's 2nd Annual “Day of Service: South Serves” on Friday, April 11th, 2025. On this amazing day, all students and staff will participate in various service projects to give back to our school and the St. Louis Regional Area. We have partnered with many non-profit organizations and government officials in the City of Manchester to provide hands-on service activities. In January, students will choose three options from a list of on and off-campus service projects and will have the opportunity to choose a sack lunch option, provided by South High. Seniors will register first, followed by Juniors, etc. We will do our best to place each student in one of their choices. Each project will have 1-2 staff members on-site serving alongside the students.

Please visit our South Serves Website to find out more about the projects, sponsorship, and donation opportunities that help make an impact on our community.

    GrantingDreamsApplicationsOpenNow!

Dream Grants are awarded in amounts of up to $250 each and help students access personal learning opportunities outside of school. Some grants are non-monetary and connect students with professionals who offer amazing shadowing experiences in the workplace.

Since beginning the program, the Parkway Alumni Association has awarded over $400,000 in Dream Grants, along with many other valuable resources to Parkway K-12 students. These grants often provide students with opportunities they may not have had without the financial support and connections from the PAA.

The deadline for submitting grant applications is Friday, February 14, 2025.
