ABOUT YOUR TEACHER: 

Hello Third Graders and Parents

My name is Brooke Potter and I have been living in St. Louis for 6 years now with my wonderful husband Brookes, and 2 year old dog Lani. This year is a very special year for me and my family, as we are expecting our first child this November. We are thrilled and nervous for this new adventure! I am originally from Washington D.C (go Nationals!) and recently gained my masters degree in Teaching English as a 2nd Language from Webster University. In my spare time I love exploring new places, reading, doing puzzles, and experiencing the outdoors. 

I worked in Fairfax, Virginia for four years as a fourth grade teacher before moving to St. Louis. This will be my fifth year at McKelvey, and fifth year teaching third grade! I feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful and accepting community here at McKelvey. Third grade has an amazing team of teachers, and is such a fun year! We will expand our reading and writing skills, learn how to multiply numbers, and challenge our brains as we grow in our learning. I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you and I am very excited for our year to start! I TRULY enjoy what I do and I am excited to share my love and enthusiasm with you this year!
