Hi!

My name is Ms. Jessica Grooms. I am excited to be teaching at McKelvey Elementary School! I have taught Physical and Health Education in Parkway since 2015. Starting in 2016, I have had the pleasure of teaching "PE Summer Sports and Games" and "PE Fun" for the Craig/McKelvey summer school program. I look forward to a wonderful school year!

My family and I enjoy being outdoors and active. We like to go jogging, bike riding, swimming, skating, visit trampoline parks, and Six Flags. I am active in my daughter's extracurricular activites. This includes being the team mom for her soccer team, assistant coach for her basketball team, and biggest fan for her gymnastics team. 

My studies include an undergraduate degree from Missouri Baptist University. I hold a state of Missouri K-12 Physical and Health Education certification. I am certified in First Aid/AED/CPR by the American Red Cross. Additionially, I am a state certified Special Olympics Coach.
