• My name is Dr. Wendy Freebersyser.  I am high school mathematics and service learning teacher at Parkway North High school, soccer coach, and an adjunct professor at Lindenwood University.  I have taught in Parkway since 1995. I was trained by Texas Instrument in 2006 as a regional technology instructor. I attended St. Louis university for my bachelor's degree, Maryville University for a Master's, William Woods University for a second Master's and received my doctorate is in Educational Leadership and Policy May of 2015. My primary research focus is education inequity and humane education.  I am passionate about pushing the limits and boundaries of education to help schools break away from the status quo and embrace the “digital age” and computational thinking.

Philosophy:  Your education is personal and unique, each student is embarking on an individual learning experience.  I have learned that you get out of education what you put in, the struggle and failure teach you more than any success, and the most valuable skills to develop in life are grit, resilience, communication, the ability to research and critical thinking.

The study of mathematics lends itself very well to the pursuit of the above stated skills.  My goal for all of you is to lean into the struggle, embrace learning through failure and experimentation, be willing to risk, fall down and most importantly get back up.
