• My Family        Our Dog Teddy       Gulf Shores

I graduated from Truman State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Spanish and a Master of Arts in Education. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. This is my 15th year as a science teacher. During the 2018-2019 school year, I am teaching Biology, Honors Biology, and AP Environmental Science. I love what I teach but I love who I teach even more! My goal is to help students reach their potential while teaching them to be critical thinkers and strive for their own personal well-being.

When I'm not teaching, I am spending time with my two children, Sydney and Nathan, and our dog, Teddy. We enjoy playing outside, traveling, and going for ice cream. I also enjoy traveling, running, and reading.

Where did we go this summer?  Gulf Shores, Alabama and Colorado

Things we enjoyed doing this summer:  Swimming, rock climbing, white water rafting, Six Flags, ate a lot of pizza and ice cream, spent time with family and friends, slept in, reading

Outside of class, I'm the JV Dance Team Coach and sponsor HOSA, a club for students interested in health occupations.
