SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Parkway School District provides a continuum of supportive services for eligible students identified as needing special education services, including those who are in need of Special Education and related services or identified as disabled under Section 504. Special Education services are determined during the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) review. Individualized Educational Plans or 504 Plans are developed to address instruction and course work as appropriate. Course enrollment is dependent upon the student’s special education and supportive services needs. Please contact your student’s counselor or special education process coordinator with questions regarding enrollment and supportive services. More information is provided later in this guide.
