• The Jason Johnson Fund

Jason Johnson Jason O. Johnson graduated from Parkway North in 1989 and went on to college to pursue his dream of football. A psychology major at Missouri Southern University in Joplin, Mo., he counseled teens at the Gateway Youth Center during college.

This experience inspired him to change his dream. Instead of football, he wanted to organize a youth facility that would use sports as a vehicle to work with youth with learning disabilities and behavioral issues. Unfortunately, he was murdered in Joplin before his dream could be realized.

The Johnson Fund supports Dream Grants for Parkway students interested in athletics, as well as personal growth and development.
