The Andrea Cohen Fund
The Andrea Cohen Memorial Fund was developed to motivate and inspire youngsters to pursue a career in fine arts. Performing arts camps, fine art courses and art supplies are often covered or partially covered for students who receive grants from the Cohen Fund.
A Parkway North '76 graduate, Andrea Cohen began her professional career locally at the St. Louis Muny Opera. She later spread her wings and performed in New York on Broadway national tours. She also appeared in commercials for McDonald’s and AT&T, as well as in many roles on the soap opera “One Life to Live.”
Before she passed away after a long battle with cancer, Cohen was on the PAA Board of Directors and was active in the Granting Dreams program for K-12 students. Though her life was short, she is fondly remembered for her passion for living and love of laughter.
