The Business Department is excited to offer an opportunity for students to join the National Business Honor Society. The purpose of our organization is to:
promote and recognize academic achievement in business education at Parkway Central High School;
foster and recognize leadership skills and character development;
help members grow ethically and socially by promoting and encouraging an interest in business; and
encourage member involvement in service learning initiatives.
To qualify for active membership, a student must be a high school junior or senior (a student may apply as a 10th, 11th, or 12th grader). The student must have completed or be currently enrolled in his/her third business course. The student must have a minimum standard GPA, on a 4.0 scale, as follows: business course average 3.5; overall average 3.0. In addition, students are expected to maintain satisfactory or above citizenship in all classes.
Sophomore and Junior students who are accepted into the NBHS will be required to complete 8 hours per year of NBHS approved service hours in order to maintain active membership. Graduating seniors may apply, and will be required to complete 3 hours of service prior to May 1.

You will be notified of acceptance status via email. Be sure to read each question carefully and answer thoroughly! Your answers will, in part, determine your acceptance.
After completing the application, please ask 2 business teachers for their recommendation. Print THIS FORM and have the business teacher submit it on your behalf.
