    Green Classroom Professional Certificate

    The GCP certificate program provides pre K-12 educators and school staff with the knowledge to identify what supports or impedes healthy, resource-efficient and environmentally sustainable learning spaces. The course consists of 12 self-guided, interactive modules that allow participants to enter and exit the program on their own schedule within a 365-day window, and takes about two hours to complete for $45/person. Group trainings are available for a reduced rate of $25/person. Learn more.

    MDC Teacher Workshops

    Attend a free DNS workshop to receive training on how to incorporate our DNS curriculum in your lessons for students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade, and find out how to apply for grants. This training is required to apply for the non-competitive grants that fund transportation and equipment used for the Discover Nature Schools lessons.     This team offers topnotch STEM and inquiry training for K–12 that can be incorporated into an established professional development day or offered as an evening or weekend program at your school. Programs typically last 45–60 minutes and serve up to 30 teachers. Outreach costs for professional development programs are $150 for the first hour and $50 for each additional hour.
